School of Nursing BSN Program Outcomes
Upon completion of the BSN program the graduate will be able to:
PO 1: The graduate has demonstrated accountability for one’s self and nursing practice, including continuous professional engagement. (Essentials 9, 10)
PO 2: The graduate has applied leadership concepts, skills, and decision making in the provision of high quality nursing care, healthcare team coordination, and the oversight and accountability for care delivery in a variety of settings. (Essentials 3, 10)
PO 3: The graduate has demonstrated effective communication and collaboration with patients, families, communities and healthcare team. (Essentials 6)
PO 4: The graduate has integrated the knowledge, skills and attitude to care for individuals, families, groups, communities and populations across the life span in a variety of settings. (Essentials 1, 2)
PO 5: The graduate has integrated skills of inquiry and analysis to execute scholarly activities to address practice issues and gaps in knowledge to improve and promote patient and population outcomes, to include addressing needs of the profession. (Essentials 4)
PO 6: The graduate has critically appraised the impact of health promotion along with disease and injury prevention across the lifespan to address individual and population health. (Essentials 7)
